The whole world is waiting for the Ayatollah regime to collapse, but a more likely scenario is that Trump will try to “align” the regime with his demands and push for some reforms, much like his approach in Venezuela. No revolution—just reformation and alignment.
I only hope that a reformed regime will not become even more dangerous in the near future. The ideology of Khamenaism may be dead, but the Ayatollahs could learn from the Muslim Brotherhood’s strategies and become more sophisticated—and potentially even more dangerous.
