President Trump is not a strong supporter of Israel, he is only a strong supporter of Trump. What’s worse is that in under three years, we will be earning for Trump as a supporter of Israel because who comes next will treat Israel worse than Obama.

And, that President will still be a better friend to Israel than the next Congress and the next. The Democratic party is dominated by anti-semites and the Republican Party is only slightly better.

The societal and political winds in the US are very anti-Jewish and anti-Israel. In fact, within 10-15 years, there very well could be a mass exodus of American Jews making Aliyah. Maybe that’s not a bad thing but in means starting today Israel must (maybe they have) become more defense independent, invest more in war technology, and must innovate aggressively to make Israel more important to the US rather than the current opposite.

Negotiation is tantamount to capitulation. Trump has played his Trump card and its turned out to be a dead card. The man who claims to have mastered the Art of the Deal has shown himself to be a fraud rather than the ultimate negotiator. The Iranians have played him for a sucker, taken the winnings, and left him empty-handed.

President Trump either forgot or never knew the difference between a business negotiation and a negotiation in the cut-throat world of geo-politics. Having played him for a sucker, they have not been disappointed in their assessment of the man. Trumps persistent bellicose stance threatening the Iranian regime with total destruction now falls on deaf ears. Like the United States ignominious retreat from Vietnam and more recently , Afghanistan, the throwing in of his strong hand while holding all the aces exposed Americas lack of moral fortitude and resolute determination to use its vast power to win a war. This is a case of a nation that has forgotten what it takes to win, addicted to a policy of containment ar all costs, has left itself naked and vulnerable to the stalking challenger, the Chinese Dragon.

Trump is no Churchill; in fact, he is an empty suit and will be judged by his inability to confront one of the greatest, most consequential issues of the current era and meet the challenges presented to him. Trump has shown he lacks the ability to rise to the occasion. A man of bluster and empty rhetoric. The future under his Presidency looks very grim indeed.
