No Israeli journalist should have been involved in any such link which is a classic example of loose lips sinking ships

Setting aside the reasonable expectation that journalists will do journalism, we should operate with the belief that everyone knows everything. That was the successful approach taken by the CIA in this operation.

I don’t know if there will be enhanced bombing tonight, but it’s pretty clear this lunatic adventure is drawing to a close. What did it accomplish? Certainly not the goal which was regime change. It’s empowered Iran to control the flow of oil. Presumably it’s diminished Irans ability to launch missiles at Israel but common sense tells me that is only a temporary halt. China will be happy to supply missiles and Iran will be able to make them, all claims to the contrary. Perhaps the most significant likely accomplishment is the fraying of the US- Israel alliance. Antisemitism has been on the rise on the right and the left in the US. Carlson and Fuentes roles in the gop will get a boost. Apparently gop youth enjoy referring to themselves as Nazis. Israel’s reputation in the Democratic Party has also suffered since Gaza. These days the Palestinian cause polls about as well as Israel. A real change in recent years. I’m sorry to see it but support for Israel is declining in the US thanks to Netanyahu policies.

If the war ends now one hopes the damage to the world economy will be limited. But oil will going forward carry a trump tax. The risk premium will be permanent. I should have bought a hybrid……

Amit do you have a view on Bibi using the religious calendar to time military operations and thus manufacture miracle rhetoric for his national religious supporters
