I am always surprised by people who are religious who urge us to do things that are detremental to Israel. We have withstood a lot worse than the EU in our history so why care so much about their opinions? We are a rather wealthy country that could survive less affluence. When I arrived here in 1979 we were all poor and maybe the better for it. So women will have fewer manicures and we'll all have fewer trips abroad. I think we'll survive.
I cannot begin to explain the depths of my loathing for the Jew haters of the EU. They do not oppose these things because they believe in a two state solution. They reflexively oppose anything Israel does because they are anti-semites who deep down don't believe there should be a Jewish state, despite benefiting from it daily.
