One more important lesson comes to mind:

Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no salvation."This is a well-known verse from the Hebrew Bible (Book of Psalms, Chapter 146, Verse 3). It serves as a reminder to rely on the divine rather than placing ultimate faith in mortal leaders, as humans lack the power to truly save or deliver you.

"Yair Lapid has called the deal a “total failure” "

That takes some nerve from the PM who "negotiated" the oil and gas dispute with Lebanon, that is Hezbollah, in 2022.

In exchange for the disputed oil and gas concessions, Israel got absolutely nothing. Iran got a potentially self-financing Hezbollah.

That 2022 deal marks Yair Lapid as completely unqualified to be PM ever again.

There will be an election this fall in Israel. The voters can judge if this deal is good at that time.

Wow very well written!!

I suggest listening to Ben shapiro's episode that just came out he sums it all up very well.

To me I see the willingness trump has to stall everything till after the midterms and don't mind it but if he actually gives them cash... In other words takes off economic fury then that's a a real loss bc noone has ever had Iran's neck tied like it is now it will just be a shame to let lose and lose all of the leverage we have on them!

But I guess we'll keep praying till we see the details of the MOU🙏

Thanks Amit🙏

I think you may be right

Post mid terms, if the Republicans hold at least the Congress he is in the last half of his presidency. I am not happy with the terms of the MOU. The war was to resolve a 47 year pestilence.

Have faith and courage: the Iranians will begin to violate the "deal" immediately in any of a thousand ways; the severity of the violations will begin very small and will continually increase, daring Trump to resume military action. The so-called negotiations will be a joke, another Iranian charade.

Trump will not allow himself to be humiliated in this way. At first he will deny that the provocations even happen. He will continue to claim that the phony negotiations are going well. Once the American mid-term elections are over, he will declare the talks a failure and will attack Iran militarily, arm the Iranian people, restore freedom of navigation in the Strait, and possibly seize the enriched uranium. Israel will also attack. But the Israeli elections will have occurred earlier, and Netanyahu will not win. But he may come back to power after Israel and America finally break the Iranian regime.

Israel is choking on Trump’s TACO.

I don't see how this deal can be spun as anything other than a complete disaster for Israel. Essentially, and from my layman's perspective, Iran gets a return to the JCPOA along with (possibly) increased control over the Straits of Hormuz.

No surprise when US/Israel interests diverge Trump chooses US interests not ours. I truly don’t understand why people are in mourning.

Excellent article .. not one democratic country in the world would put up with Hezbollah, who have hi jacked Lebanon, firing missiles.

There should be no hesitation .. the war in Lebanon continues.

After all, Lebanon has said, Hezbollah is not wanted.

Any attack by Hezbollah into Israeli air space must then lead to an attack on Hezbollah in Beirut.

Netanyahu was only ever going to be Trump's lackey. I mean, we're talking about the man with a bigger ego than anyone.

He may think that this is the path to the Nobel Peace Prize, but it may well be the path to the political exit.

There is still time in Israel to vote, to be brave, and to stand up to what is left to us. The Begin Doctrine is the way forward. If only his humility went along with the actions.
